11.1 Colors and symbols
If data for an item is displayed in multiple data visualizations on a page, the symbol or color for that item stays consistent from chart to chart to create cohesion for the user
11.2 Horizontal stacked bars
Number display
- If a numerical data readout can fit on the chart segment, display that data point on top of the chart in white font
- When a data set has been filtered down to a smaller subset of items or a single item and the numerical data readout does not fit on top of the data display, display the count or percentage on the right of the visual in dark grey text (#333)
Hover: Users should always be able to access more specific information through hovering over a segment
- The segment should highlight when clicked on or hovered over
- The popover should contain the name of the highlighted element and display the numerical data readout of that segment
